All my amps are available in a variety or tolex colors and grill cloth. We also do custom multi colored amps like the Hotrod series amps or just about anything your imagination can come up with.
Deluxe Reverb Clone
Here's a new custom Deluxe Reverb I just finished for Michael grooves in Minneapolis, MN. I included it here
because it's somewhat unique. No expense was spared in it's construction. It has a custom blond cab built by
Gregg Hopkins of Vintage-Amp Restoration.
He does fantastic work. Thanks Gregg.
It also sports Mercury Magnetics iron throughout with impedance switching for experimenting with other speakers
and external cabs. All stainless hardwear and topshelf components were used. The speaker is a Celestion Gold
series 16ohm. It has bias test point socket and all vintage NOS tubes and two vintage RCA black plates 6V6s in
the output. A real special amp!

Super Reverb Clone
My goal on this project was to build one of the finest sounding and well built Super Reverb's ever made. I decided to go with Mercury Magnetics Iron because I've never tried their products in any Fender type circuits before and the reviews were favorable. I've been working on a improved layout for the AB763 circuit and decided to go with what I have so far and this amp is a test bed for that design. So far the initial tests have proved favorable compared with my original 65 SR and is considerably quieter at full volume with no instrument plugged into the amp. It has a very tight bottom end and the highs are crisp but not too glassy. It gets a great fat overdrive crunch when pushed at high volume with my LP. Chassis is from noojwut on Ebay and are the best reproductions ever made in my opinion. Capacitors are Sprague 716Ps and Mallorys. Filters are Sprague Atom 20uf 450v and Nippon 100uf 450v.<
Transformers:
Mercury Magnetics Axiom FBFS-O40 OT
Mercury Magnetics ToneClone FBFS-P40 PT
If you'll notice, all the filters are located inside the amp closer to their proper points in the circuit rather than running long HV wires through the amp to the outside. This helps cut down on noise.
A set of bias test point sockets are mounted in the old AC socket area with the bias adj. pot next to it in the unused ground switch hole for easy bias measurements and adjustment. This is a very easy mod to perform if your so inclined and to do it you use pin 8 of each output tube which is normally terminated to ground. Just unsolder them both from ground and run each to their own red terminal on your plate as seen in the photo and solder a 1-ohm 1% resistor to ground on each circuit from pin 8. The third terminal is black and goes to ground as well. Easy!
As you can see in the following pics, I've used high grade 600volt rated 18 & 20ga solid core Teflon coated wire for all my wiring. I like using this type of wire because it makes for a much cleaner layout and I can obtain better lead dress and positioning of the wire because it stays where you put it! This also ads up to a much nicer looking and quieter design. Plus it's easier to work on and troubleshoot!!
This here is a vibroverb clone useing the Hoffman board layout and bias vary tremolo.
