These pages were put together to possibly help others who wish to build their own Triumph bobber from scratch like I have. I hope the information on this site is useful to those that wish to pursue such an endeavor. Building your own bike isn't easy but it's not something any average person can't accomplish with some research and perseverance teamed with a little hard work. It helps to have a good knowledge of fabrication and welding skills but it is possible to assemble a bike using a premade hardtail and other things. My bike originated from a 71 triumph tiger OIF. I acquired a 60s front loop and a hard tail of unknown origin to make this bike. It's around 6" stretch. The tires will be Fiestone Deluxe Champions. 3.25x19 front and 4.50x18 rear. I've fabricated a special bracket for the OIF gas tank to fit a early front loop and many other small peices including the oil tank. The oil filter is the type used on HDs of the 40s. My front forks are still stock as well as the hubs and rims. All my oil lines are polished stainless tube using Swagelok compression fittings. The bike is long and low. The pics don't always show the proportion right useing a wide angle lens. I hope you all like it as I move forward with this build. Ride safe!

Finally finished. I started this project in Dec 2008 and now on June 21, 2009 I'm complete and running well. The bike is a real joy to ride and I learned a lot. I still have tins to paint but the vintage paint looks cool for now.

Latest update- 6/15/09:

Here we see the bike going together in the final build.

Older Pics:

These are some pics of the original mockup I did to make sure I liked the stance of the bike and get a overall feel for the build. After that It was all tore down and further fabrication to the frame was done as well as powder coat of the frame.
